Prince Charles broke the news of their mother's death to Princes William and Harry at Balmoral in Scotland Castel. Accidents happen after Lady Diana left the Ritz Hotel in France with his close friend Dodi Al-Fayed. Dodi and driver were also killed in a head-on collision in the tunnel under the Place de I'Alma downtown. The car carrying the princess pursued at high speed by photographers to hit the pillars and walls. French authorities began a criminal investigation and interrogated seven photographers.
